Welcome!

Welcome to the North DeKalb Cityhood Blog!

This site exists to foster a constructive discussion of the possibility of forming a city for a northern portion of DeKalb County.  Since there is not yet an "official" group studying this matter, this blog is not sponsored (monetarily or otherwise) by any organization or other entity.  It was created solely by me (Kevin Levitas) and should not be construed as representing any other person or entity.

The basic rules of this blog are simple.  Keep the discussion clean, on-topic and avoid personal attacks, and you can participate. I look forward to a positive discussion.

Now for the legalese...

  1. If you are to move forward we need to make sure our ducks are all in a row. Brookhaven could find itself in a real mess if they elect a Mayor and City Council that were against forming the city.

Before the next meeting we need to put together a leadership committe of level headed folks. Not some of our neighborhood crazy folks that tend to ruin PTA and Pool Boards and Neighborhood Associations.

  2. I agree that we certainly need to proceed carefully and prudently. Would you be interested in participating in such a group?
